The Jook Joint Jokers are a blues from band Vancouver, BC. Playing a variety of instruments, they will take you back to the country blues of the deep south and a harder way of life.
Barry Truter is an accomplished singer song writer with two solo albums under his belt (Bullfrog Sessions and Traveller). A skilled finger style guitarist, he also plays octave mandolin and ukulele. Barry is a member of long-standing folk trio Fraser Union.
Craig Williams finds his musical roots deeply embedded in the delta and rural blues of the south. Playing bottle neck slide, and finger style guitar, harmonica, and cigar box guitar, he is able to transport the listener back in time.
Ellen Van Der Hoeven is a long time staple of the BC folk scene. She is an acomplished guitar and mandolin player and the writer of great songs. She recently released her debut album entitled "the family dance". Rumor has it that her band, My American Boyfriend, with Tom Rawson also has an album in the works.
